Anna Hester

Anna Hester is a singer-songwriter with a ‘powerful and confident voice’ (Fatea Magazine), who moves ‘effortlessly between genres, but always with an emotional core’ (Cambridge Music Reviews). Her songs have been played on BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire and the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Folk Show. Anna has performed widely in the South East and East of England, including at The Stables, Cambridge Junction, and several times at Milton Keynes International Festival. She has also performed in London and Berlin. Anna has released two EPs. Her debut album, Postcard Songs, on which every song is inspired by a postcard, came out in 2021. From 2020-2022, Anna was also on the songwriting team for Songs and Verses from North Cambridge, a community arts project led by award-winning composer Emily Peasgood. Anna performed songs from the project and led singing workshops at Cambridge Folk Festival in 2022.
